Feeding your dog a raw diet is getting more popular, and for good reason. If you’re thinking about switching to raw, here’s why it might be great for your pup.

Why Raw Works?

A recent study published in Frontiers in Veterinary Science shared some amazing facts about dogs eating raw meat instead of kibble. Here’s what they found:

1. Better Overall Health: Dogs eating raw food had healthier teeth, ears, and skin.

2. Stronger Immune System: Raw-fed dogs had higher levels of special immune cells (called lymphocytes) and lower levels of certain enzymes, which means their bodies might handle sickness better.

3. Improved Digestion System: Many owners notice their dogs have firmer stools and less gas after switching to raw food.

Here’s what they found about switching to raw.

· 70% Cleaner Teeth: More than 70% of raw-fed dogs had less tartar build-up than those eating kibble.

· Stronger Immune Health: Lymphocyte levels were up to 25% higher in raw-fed dogs compared to kibble-fed ones, boosting their ability to fight infections.

· Lower Enzyme Levels: Dogs on RMBDs had 15% lower alkaline phosphatase levels, which is better for their liver health.

· Better Digestion: Around 80% of owners reported fewer digestive issues, like gas or loose stools, after switching to raw.

Why Choose Raw?
Here are a few big reasons:

1. Natural Food: Dogs come from wolves, and their bodies are made to eat raw meat, bones, and organs. This diet fits with what they’ve eaten for thousands of years.

2. Cleaner Teeth: Chewing raw bones works like a toothbrush, scraping off tartar and keeping gums healthy. The study found over 70% of raw-fed dogs had cleaner teeth than kibble-fed ones.

3. Shinier Fur, Healthier Skin: Raw food is full of nutrients, like omega-3s, which make coats shiny and keep skin problems away.

But What About Safety?

Some pet owners worry about the risks of raw feeding especially concerns about Salmonella and bacteria. But did you know that commercial kibble can also carry Salmonella and other pathogens?

In fact, many kibble brands have been recalled due to contamination.

The difference?

Dogs are biologically designed to handle bacteria in raw meat, thanks to their shorter digestive tracts and strong stomach acids.

We always recommend to wash hands and utensils after handling raw dog food
