How does delivery work?
Mersey Raw is proud to offer next day frozen delivery to most of the UK, 7 days a week.
Orders made before 1pm will be shipped the same day. Any orders placed after 1pm will be shipped the following day. Our delivery costs £6.95 (free on orders over £65).
As our products are classed as perishable goods, they are sent on a next day delivery service. If you are not at home to receive your order, our couriers will leave it in the safest place possible and if you have not already notified the courier where to leave it.
Mersey Raw accepts no responsibility for orders that have been diverted or left in a safe place, therefore please ensure someone is available to receive your order.
Once your order leaves our warehouse, you will receive tracking information from the courier to the email address or mobile number you have entered on your order. We specifically request that someone be home to take in the parcel, as Mersey Raw is not liable for any parcels that are redirected, or requested to be left in a safe place.
Please note: do not change the delivery date of your parcel - this could result in your parcel being disposed of as it contains frozen goods. Mersey Raw will not replace orders that have been disposed of for this reason.

How much should I give my dog?
We recommend feeding your dog approximately 2-3% of its ideal body weight in raw food per day.
More active dogs should be fed approximately 3-4% of their ideal body weight in raw food per day and less active dogs approximately 1-2% of their ideal body weight.
For puppies, feed them approximately 5-8% of their ideal body weight in raw food per day.
Spread their daily amount into 1-2 servings per day.
As a rough guide, for adult dogs:
Extra small dogs 1kg - 5kg (Dachshund, Pomeranian, Toy Poodle): 30g - 150g per day.
Small dogs 5kg - 10kg (Yorkshire Terrier, French Bulldog, Miniature Schnauzer): 150g - 300g per day.
Medium-sized dogs 10kg - 25kg (Bearded Collie, Cocker Spaniel, Beagle) 150g - 750g per day.
Large dogs 25kg - 45kg (German Shepherd, Labrador, Dalmation) 750g - 1.35kg per day.
Extra large dogs 45kg+ (Irish Wolfhound, Great Dane, Bernese Mountain Dog) over 1.35kg per day.
How to switch to raw dog food?
Switching to raw dog food is easy and straight-forward for almost all dogs.
The easiest way to switch, and what works for 99% of dogs, is to immediately switch from their old food to their new raw dog food.
If your dog is a little reluctant to try new things and perhaps prone to an occasionally upset tummy, one thing that will help them transition to raw dog food is to mix in some warm (not hot) water or add some bone broth.
Is it suitable for puppies?
Yes, Mersey Raw dog food is suitable for dogs of all ages, including puppies.
If your puppy is under 8 weeks old, we recommend serving them our duck, chicken, venison or turkey minces, as they are a touch finer.
Should I add any supplements?
A mixed raw diet has everything that your dog needs to stay fit and healthy.
If you would like to supplement your dog's diet, we recommend supplementing with oily fish, whole raw eggs (including shell), and bone broth.
Once thawed, how long does it last?
Once thawed, our raw dog food is perfectly fine to be used for 4 days, when you keep it sealed in the fridge.
Once thawed, can it be re-frozen?
Yes it can, but you can only re-freeze our raw dog food once and only if it’s remained cool throughout the time it has been thawed.
In the freezer, how long will it last?
Mersey Raw frozen dog food can last up to 12 months in your freezer.

Dogs love the food. I have 2 small dogs nd can be fussy at times but they seem to enjoy this food. I tend to stick to the same flavours one of the dogs Pippa has allergies and has a reaction to poultry
Our Rhodesian ridge back Teak has alway been fed raw . we have now switched to buying monthly for all his needs Mersey Raw food offers quality food , in very handy containers , we supplement with raw sprats raw mixed veg and one egg yolk a day. one happy healthy boy .
the tripe and beef mix is part of his three day meal rotation along with venison and duck ,Pork and Lamb.
My Peggy Sue is a Border Collie and has a delicate tum. can't feed her chicken anymore so thought we'd try this stuff and she loves it. Plus her poops are prize-winning!

at £2.75 it's not dearer than any quality tinned food, the only slight minus is the freezer-space thing but we've got round that now by planning our own food shopping better.

Having been fed Bulmers (Dibo) for years I offered my greyhound a bowl with half his usual food and half Mersey.
Without hesitation he wolfed down the Mersey, leaving the Bulmers for later.

Our dog loves the food. You can just tell it’s good quality by the texture, and the fact that the tub isn’t swimming in blood once the meat has defrosted. Only downside is that they have recently changed the labels and the text showing the contents is quite small so I’m left running around searching for my glasses to see which one I’m feeding him. Minor point and only affects those with poor eyesight

We tried a selection of the 500g raw packs and they all have been woofed down by our 2 lurchers. They now stop and lick their bowls clean which is a first for them.
The containers are very well packaged and still frozen on delivery. ( Even after being taken to the wrong house twice before we got it)
