How does delivery work?
Mersey Raw is proud to offer next day frozen delivery to most of the UK, 7 days a week.
Orders made before 1pm will be shipped the same day. Any orders placed after 1pm will be shipped the following day. Our delivery costs £6.95 (free on orders over £65).
As our products are classed as perishable goods, they are sent on a next day delivery service. If you are not at home to receive your order, our couriers will leave it in the safest place possible and if you have not already notified the courier where to leave it.
Mersey Raw accepts no responsibility for orders that have been diverted or left in a safe place, therefore please ensure someone is available to receive your order.
Once your order leaves our warehouse, you will receive tracking information from the courier to the email address or mobile number you have entered on your order. We specifically request that someone be home to take in the parcel, as Mersey Raw is not liable for any parcels that are redirected, or requested to be left in a safe place.
Please note: do not change the delivery date of your parcel - this could result in your parcel being disposed of as it contains frozen goods. Mersey Raw will not replace orders that have been disposed of for this reason.
Our frozen next day delivery costs £6.95 and is free for orders over £65. Any order received before 1pm will be delivered the next day (7 days a week). Orders placed after 1pm will arrive 2 days later.

How much should I give my dog?
We recommend feeding your dog approximately 2-3% of its ideal body weight in raw food per day.
More active dogs should be fed approximately 3-4% of their ideal body weight in raw food per day and less active dogs approximately 1-2% of their ideal body weight.
For puppies, feed them approximately 5-8% of their ideal body weight in raw food per day.
Spread their daily amount into 1-2 servings per day.
As a rough guide, for adult dogs:
Extra small dogs 1kg - 5kg (Dachshund, Pomeranian, Toy Poodle): 30g - 150g per day.
Small dogs 5kg - 10kg (Yorkshire Terrier, French Bulldog, Miniature Schnauzer): 150g - 300g per day.
Medium-sized dogs 10kg - 25kg (Bearded Collie, Cocker Spaniel, Beagle) 150g - 750g per day.
Large dogs 25kg - 45kg (German Shepherd, Labrador, Dalmation) 750g - 1.35kg per day.
Extra large dogs 45kg+ (Irish Wolfhound, Great Dane, Bernese Mountain Dog) over 1.35kg per day.
How to switch to raw dog food?
Switching to raw dog food is easy and straight-forward for almost all dogs.
The easiest way to switch, and what works for 99% of dogs, is to immediately switch from their old food to their new raw dog food.
If your dog is a little reluctant to try new things and perhaps prone to an occasionally upset tummy, one thing that will help them transition to raw dog food is to mix in some warm (not hot) water or add some bone broth.
Is it suitable for puppies?
Yes, Mersey Raw dog food is suitable for dogs of all ages, including puppies.
If your puppy is under 8 weeks old, we recommend serving them our duck, chicken, venison or turkey minces, as they are a touch finer.
Should I add any supplements?
A mixed raw diet has everything that your dog needs to stay fit and healthy.
If you would like to supplement your dog's diet, we recommend supplementing with oily fish, whole raw eggs (including shell), and bone broth.
Once thawed, how long does it last?
Once thawed, our raw dog food is perfectly fine to be used for 4 days, when you keep it sealed in the fridge.
Once thawed, can it be re-frozen?
Yes it can, but you can only re-freeze our raw dog food once and only if it’s remained cool throughout the time it has been thawed.
In the freezer, how long will it last?
Mersey Raw frozen dog food can last up to 12 months in your freezer.

I had heard such good things about giving your dog a raw diet but didn’t know where to go for the best product. After talking to people and researching a friend recommended Mersey raw and wow.
Firstly my dog loves it and cannot eat it quick enough, secondly he is like a new dog. He is more content and enjoys his food so much he will eat it all in one hit. His coat is looking and feeling better. Will be trying more products, treats etc as we move through our raw journey. Best decision I have made.

I received my 1st order a few days ago. Barney isn’t new to raw but the company we were with we were finding a few problems. So after trawling through a long list & advice l decided to take advice & choose Mersey Raw!!! Plus the fact l love Liverpool & l am an avid fan of the Red side!!
I found the tubs a good size to manage, l am disabled so l have arthritis in my fingers but perfect for me. One company they were flatter & longer and the last company the kids kept popping off & pieces of plastic breaking off.
I unpacked the box which included some goat treats & a tub of sprats which were something Barney enjoys. Also there was a free licky mat which we use so very useful. Barney has finished his first tub & as l expected he loved it. The foods a nice consistency too not sloppy . We will be ordering again when this supply runs out.
No problems either with delivery everything was fine.
So far so good. Winnie tucking in big style. Only tasted two flavours yet. So watch this space.
Only problem is to tub is hard to open.
This is the greatest thing I've done for my bichon Charlie he absolutely loves this new food his transition is going so well he's licking his bowl clean & looks forward to his dinner times. I won't be looking back just forward for me & my boy enjoying his mersey raw food. Easy to order & excellent delivery with notifications every step recieving your food.
Gizmo is not eating the food not on the first day ..on the second. He ate a quarter of what was in his bowl he ate the chicken bits I put on top of it I don't know what to do he will only eat chicken and treats I am a OAP and have to keep throwing away his food 🐕😭
Amazing little bundle my pups only 9weeks old so didn't want to get loads and maybe risk waste this bundle is perfect my pup loves the food and we will definitely be purchasing a bigger box soon

Glad we switched to raw! We have three fussy Poms, and since switching them to raw, they lick the bowls clean every time.
We were worried about the space in the freezer, but this hasn’t been a problem—and we wish we’d done it sooner. Their fur is definitely shinier and softer now too.
I've given this good 5 stars for the actual product fresh and really good meat . Unfortunately my little boy isn't keen but I will happily keep trying to get him to try it .

I ordered the new to raw box, assuming that it would include a variety of meats and would be better value than choosing individually.
In fact, the opposite is true. The selection you are sent is very limited and there is no discount for buying this introductory box. I would have been better off if I had selected 10 different meats.
My dog only liked 2 of the flavours sent and so much of the product went in the trash.
I wouldn’t buy again for this reason.
I would suggest to Mersey Raw that the introductory box should contain 10 different flavours - that is what I was expecting.
I should have read the product description more carefully.
