How does delivery work?
Mersey Raw is proud to offer next day frozen delivery to most of the UK, 7 days a week.
Orders made before 1pm will be shipped the same day. Any orders placed after 1pm will be shipped the following day. Our delivery costs £6.95 (free on orders over £65).
As our products are classed as perishable goods, they are sent on a next day delivery service. If you are not at home to receive your order, our couriers will leave it in the safest place possible and if you have not already notified the courier where to leave it.
Mersey Raw accepts no responsibility for orders that have been diverted or left in a safe place, therefore please ensure someone is available to receive your order.
Once your order leaves our warehouse, you will receive tracking information from the courier to the email address or mobile number you have entered on your order. We specifically request that someone be home to take in the parcel, as Mersey Raw is not liable for any parcels that are redirected, or requested to be left in a safe place.
Please note: do not change the delivery date of your parcel - this could result in your parcel being disposed of as it contains frozen goods. Mersey Raw will not replace orders that have been disposed of for this reason.
Our frozen next day delivery costs £6.95 and is free for orders over £65. Any order received before 1pm will be delivered the next day (7 days a week). Orders placed after 1pm will arrive 2 days later.

How much should I give my dog?
We recommend feeding your dog approximately 2-3% of its ideal body weight in raw food per day.
More active dogs should be fed approximately 3-4% of their ideal body weight in raw food per day and less active dogs approximately 1-2% of their ideal body weight.
For puppies, feed them approximately 5-8% of their ideal body weight in raw food per day.
Spread their daily amount into 1-2 servings per day.
As a rough guide, for adult dogs:
Extra small dogs 1kg - 5kg (Dachshund, Pomeranian, Toy Poodle): 30g - 150g per day.
Small dogs 5kg - 10kg (Yorkshire Terrier, French Bulldog, Miniature Schnauzer): 150g - 300g per day.
Medium-sized dogs 10kg - 25kg (Bearded Collie, Cocker Spaniel, Beagle) 150g - 750g per day.
Large dogs 25kg - 45kg (German Shepherd, Labrador, Dalmation) 750g - 1.35kg per day.
Extra large dogs 45kg+ (Irish Wolfhound, Great Dane, Bernese Mountain Dog) over 1.35kg per day.
How to switch to raw dog food?
Switching to raw dog food is easy and straight-forward for almost all dogs.
The easiest way to switch, and what works for 99% of dogs, is to immediately switch from their old food to their new raw dog food.
If your dog is a little reluctant to try new things and perhaps prone to an occasionally upset tummy, one thing that will help them transition to raw dog food is to mix in some warm (not hot) water or add some bone broth.
Is it suitable for puppies?
Yes, Mersey Raw dog food is suitable for dogs of all ages, including puppies.
If your puppy is under 8 weeks old, we recommend serving them our duck, chicken, venison or turkey minces, as they are a touch finer.
Should I add any supplements?
A mixed raw diet has everything that your dog needs to stay fit and healthy.
If you would like to supplement your dog's diet, we recommend supplementing with oily fish, whole raw eggs (including shell), and bone broth.
Once thawed, how long does it last?
Once thawed, our raw dog food is perfectly fine to be used for 4 days, when you keep it sealed in the fridge.
Once thawed, can it be re-frozen?
Yes it can, but you can only re-freeze our raw dog food once and only if it’s remained cool throughout the time it has been thawed.
In the freezer, how long will it last?
Mersey Raw frozen dog food can last up to 12 months in your freezer.

Great service,next day delivery if ordered by 1pm.Food is chunky and firm,and comes out the other end the same.Dog eats it,whereas he goes off brands by week 2,so no waste.
My three girls are loving this mixed bundle. In fact whatever one I get they love and all three are looking amazing. Our youngest has qualified for crufts next year. I feel this quality food is helping her grow, she looks absolutely amazing.
A friend gave me some venison mince to try for our new whopping whippet rescue. Initially he was keen for a few days but then went completely off it - think flavour may have been too strong for him. Ordered starter pack with more white meat/other selection and he absolutely woofs it down. Was recommended to me by existing user and would also highly recommend but do try out different combinations before committing to a large order.

I ordered a few of these bundle boxes as a trial, to see if my dogs liked the brand. It seemed like good value, and a large enough selection of proteins to tick all the boxes. The fact that you get a tub of sprats thrown in even ticks the oily fish box.
The plastic boxes do make storage and defrosting simple and hygienic, and although possibly not very eco friendly, they are being reused to store our homemade raw cat food, they are a big improvement on the cardboard or plastic wrapped packaging we've previously had food delivered in.
The actual minces were really impressive, not sloppy or too finely ground, and no big lumps of bone or masses of liquid. They didn't smell strongly, and even the ones containing tripe weren't terribly pongy, and they looked how you would expect them to in terms of colour. The dogs really seem to enjoy it and even the fussy boy hasn't turned his nose up at any of the varieties, so I think it's safe to say that they approve.
Overall having raw fed my dogs for nearly two decades, I happy to say that I think it's a really impressive product, and I will definitely be ordering again once I've emptied the freezer.

Quick delivery. Well packed. Was really pleased with the contents. I’ve only tried 2 of them so far, as was finishing off his previous food. He’s eaten and enjoyed both. I liked the plastic tubs as well. I’ve put the empty ones to good use - filled them with bone broth which I made with the lamb bones I ordered.
Will use Mersey Raw again.

Mersey Raw is just great! There is a wide selection of flavours and its a really good quality mince. My Frenchie gobbles up every bit and licks hisl bowl clean every time. The customer service is brilliant with super fast delivery and it's all well insulated and still frozen.

My working CS has been on Mersey raw since she was 10 weeks old she’s now 6 months and she is doing amazing. Health checked at the vets every month when she going in for weighing & worming and they have said how happy healthy she looks. Her coat is silky and has a beautiful shine. She gaining weight at the right speed as she’s growing.
And when it comes to meal times she can’t wait to get her dinner. I get a mixed variety of protein for her which she loves. And the price is really affordable too. I’ve never fed raw before so the fact that all the hard work is done for you (80/10) makes the choice to fed raw perfect for us.
Winnie has been fed raw from her breeder, I’ve carried on with it since I brought her home. I was at my wits end with my little Dachshunds eating habits. I feel like I've tried EVERYTHING and he would still turn his nose up at it. So when I bought from Merseyraw I didn't hold much hope, but oh my god to my surprise he cannot get enough of the raw minces he seems to like every one we've tried so far and I've never seen him with such a big appetite.
