How does delivery work?
Mersey Raw is proud to offer next day frozen delivery to most of the UK, 7 days a week.
Orders made before 1pm will be shipped the same day. Any orders placed after 1pm will be shipped the following day. Our delivery costs £6.95 (free on orders over £65).
As our products are classed as perishable goods, they are sent on a next day delivery service. If you are not at home to receive your order, our couriers will leave it in the safest place possible and if you have not already notified the courier where to leave it.
Mersey Raw accepts no responsibility for orders that have been diverted or left in a safe place, therefore please ensure someone is available to receive your order.
Once your order leaves our warehouse, you will receive tracking information from the courier to the email address or mobile number you have entered on your order. We specifically request that someone be home to take in the parcel, as Mersey Raw is not liable for any parcels that are redirected, or requested to be left in a safe place.
Please note: do not change the delivery date of your parcel - this could result in your parcel being disposed of as it contains frozen goods. Mersey Raw will not replace orders that have been disposed of for this reason.
Our frozen next day delivery costs £6.95 and is free for orders over £65. Any order received before 1pm will be delivered the next day (7 days a week). Orders placed after 1pm will arrive 2 days later.

How much should I give my dog?
We recommend feeding your dog approximately 2-3% of its ideal body weight in raw food per day.
More active dogs should be fed approximately 3-4% of their ideal body weight in raw food per day and less active dogs approximately 1-2% of their ideal body weight.
For puppies, feed them approximately 5-8% of their ideal body weight in raw food per day.
Spread their daily amount into 1-2 servings per day.
As a rough guide, for adult dogs:
Extra small dogs 1kg - 5kg (Dachshund, Pomeranian, Toy Poodle): 30g - 150g per day.
Small dogs 5kg - 10kg (Yorkshire Terrier, French Bulldog, Miniature Schnauzer): 150g - 300g per day.
Medium-sized dogs 10kg - 25kg (Bearded Collie, Cocker Spaniel, Beagle) 150g - 750g per day.
Large dogs 25kg - 45kg (German Shepherd, Labrador, Dalmation) 750g - 1.35kg per day.
Extra large dogs 45kg+ (Irish Wolfhound, Great Dane, Bernese Mountain Dog) over 1.35kg per day.
How to switch to raw dog food?
Switching to raw dog food is easy and straight-forward for almost all dogs.
The easiest way to switch, and what works for 99% of dogs, is to immediately switch from their old food to their new raw dog food.
If your dog is a little reluctant to try new things and perhaps prone to an occasionally upset tummy, one thing that will help them transition to raw dog food is to mix in some warm (not hot) water or add some bone broth.
Is it suitable for puppies?
Yes, Mersey Raw dog food is suitable for dogs of all ages, including puppies.
If your puppy is under 8 weeks old, we recommend serving them our duck, chicken, venison or turkey minces, as they are a touch finer.
Should I add any supplements?
A mixed raw diet has everything that your dog needs to stay fit and healthy.
If you would like to supplement your dog's diet, we recommend supplementing with oily fish, whole raw eggs (including shell), and bone broth.
Once thawed, how long does it last?
Once thawed, our raw dog food is perfectly fine to be used for 4 days, when you keep it sealed in the fridge.
Once thawed, can it be re-frozen?
Yes it can, but you can only re-freeze our raw dog food once and only if it’s remained cool throughout the time it has been thawed.
In the freezer, how long will it last?
Mersey Raw frozen dog food can last up to 12 months in your freezer.

I have two dogs, one of which has developed food allergies and it’s been a nightmare to find a raw food that’s solely pork for an elimination diet. Finally found this and alongside medication, she has stopped chewing and scratching herself to bits! Her hairs almost grown back completely and she really enjoys the pork! (She can be fussy with some proteins), so pleased to have found a good quality, and well priced food we can rely on! My other dog absolutely loves her meals too! Bonus that we can have it delivered also as we have not been able to find this single source protein locally!

I have used Pork food before. It's a bit early to tell how this goes. My lad eats it but then he's a bulldog so a eat anything going.
My gripe if it is one is the packing. I snap the tags with difficulty and then can't get lid off. Hubby does just about.
I have THE fussiest dog on earth - will only eat pork and refuses to eat most makes of raw, including when I buy and do myself. He would rather starve than eat something he doesn't like - not this - he cleans his bowl every time and looks for more - well done Mersey Raw, He is now eating twice a day and its made me [and Zeus] happy!

Again all arrived fully frozen, even got a few of the new boxes in the Beef. They look a lot better in person in the freezer but they look a far better quality tub. And not been black they should be fine for recycling too.
Hopefully be the last time I have the old black tubs. 2 was well cracked down a side and across bottom, hopefully the new tubs are stronger that the last.
When it comes to trusting her instincts, nose and appetite then Mersey Raw ticks all the boxes. She has always been a “good Eater” cleaning her bowl was never a problem but now she spends a long time ‘cleaning’ it. This food is so obviously high quality and smells Devine. Composition looks great, looks exactly like the pics, nice corse ground, can see the individual cuts of meat almost. Looks like really good quality dog food. Unfortunately, through no fault of this food company, my dog won’t eat it as she if the fussiest thing ever with offal, won’t go near it if there are chunks, I learned this through making it myself that’s why I went on to buy coz I couldn’t grind it fine enough. Won’t mark them down coz they’re everything they say they are !
My boy is allergic to many things so this is a great product as it hasn’t been mixed with any other proteins and he loves it.
