How does delivery work?
Mersey Raw is proud to offer next day frozen delivery to most of the UK, 7 days a week.
Orders made before 1pm will be shipped the same day. Any orders placed after 1pm will be shipped the following day. Our delivery costs £6.95 (free on orders over £65).
As our products are classed as perishable goods, they are sent on a next day delivery service. If you are not at home to receive your order, our couriers will leave it in the safest place possible and if you have not already notified the courier where to leave it.
Mersey Raw accepts no responsibility for orders that have been diverted or left in a safe place, therefore please ensure someone is available to receive your order.
Once your order leaves our warehouse, you will receive tracking information from the courier to the email address or mobile number you have entered on your order. We specifically request that someone be home to take in the parcel, as Mersey Raw is not liable for any parcels that are redirected, or requested to be left in a safe place.
Please note: do not change the delivery date of your parcel - this could result in your parcel being disposed of as it contains frozen goods. Mersey Raw will not replace orders that have been disposed of for this reason.

How much should I give my dog?
We recommend feeding your dog approximately 2-3% of its ideal body weight in raw food per day.
More active dogs should be fed approximately 3-4% of their ideal body weight in raw food per day and less active dogs approximately 1-2% of their ideal body weight.
For puppies, feed them approximately 5-8% of their ideal body weight in raw food per day.
Spread their daily amount into 1-2 servings per day.
As a rough guide, for adult dogs:
Extra small dogs 1kg - 5kg (Dachshund, Pomeranian, Toy Poodle): 30g - 150g per day.
Small dogs 5kg - 10kg (Yorkshire Terrier, French Bulldog, Miniature Schnauzer): 150g - 300g per day.
Medium-sized dogs 10kg - 25kg (Bearded Collie, Cocker Spaniel, Beagle) 150g - 750g per day.
Large dogs 25kg - 45kg (German Shepherd, Labrador, Dalmation) 750g - 1.35kg per day.
Extra large dogs 45kg+ (Irish Wolfhound, Great Dane, Bernese Mountain Dog) over 1.35kg per day.
How to switch to raw dog food?
Switching to raw dog food is easy and straight-forward for almost all dogs.
The easiest way to switch, and what works for 99% of dogs, is to immediately switch from their old food to their new raw dog food.
If your dog is a little reluctant to try new things and perhaps prone to an occasionally upset tummy, one thing that will help them transition to raw dog food is to mix in some warm (not hot) water or add some bone broth.
Is it suitable for puppies?
Yes, Mersey Raw dog food is suitable for dogs of all ages, including puppies.
If your puppy is under 8 weeks old, we recommend serving them our duck, chicken, venison or turkey minces, as they are a touch finer.
Should I add any supplements?
A mixed raw diet has everything that your dog needs to stay fit and healthy.
If you would like to supplement your dog's diet, we recommend supplementing with oily fish, whole raw eggs (including shell), and bone broth.
Once thawed, how long does it last?
Once thawed, our raw dog food is perfectly fine to be used for 4 days, when you keep it sealed in the fridge.
Once thawed, can it be re-frozen?
Yes it can, but you can only re-freeze our raw dog food once and only if it’s remained cool throughout the time it has been thawed.
In the freezer, how long will it last?
Mersey Raw frozen dog food can last up to 12 months in your freezer.

I recently discovered Mersey Raw and I'm so glad I did. Its great to find a company who provide the more unusual proteins. One of my dogs has subclinical pancreatitis so I need to keep his fat intake as low as possible and his options are limited whilst still trying to keep his diet varied. Not an easy task! The rabbit with fur is v low fat and also helps with worming thanks to the fur. Its a big success and hit with him so I'm now a regular customer and no doubt will add other proteins for my other dog in the future.

I cannot recommend Mersey Raw enough! My fussy dog absolutely adores their protein options. While he usually loves whole rabbit, there have been a few brands that offer it as mince which he refuses to eat (the same goes for pheasant). However, the moment I introduced Mersey Raw's rabbit or pheasant protein, it was instantly devoured. The quality of their products is truly incredible - the appearance alone speaks volumes. Unlike other brands I've tried, Mersey Raw doesn't have any unpleasant odours either. It's such a relief to have found a reliable and high-quality option that my dog loves. Dogs love a bit of rabbit, fur and all so when I saw a food which includes fur, we had to try it. Worried that the dogs would be unsure of it but they smashed through their bowls. Another great flavour and will definitely purchase again!
Really excellent package of high quality raw food. You can see as soon as it arrives it has been well thought out. The cartons are strong the food inside is as good as it gets and my dogs love it.

Wasn’t sure if my 2 (Frenchie 2 yrs & E/Bulldog 1 yr) would go for this, they absolutely wolfed it down, they’re both a bit suspicious of anything different but clean dishes all round. Nice texture too, amount of fur is not overpowering either. Will definitely have this again to ring the changes.
